Fit Happenings

I never thought I would consider myself a runner. Well, to be honest, I'm not sure I even do now - all I know is that my love of running has caught me completely by surprise, and it's awesome. This January, after years of half-assed attempts to get fit, I finally decided to follow through. I started off slowly, with run-walk intervals on the treadmill combined with strength training and other forms of cardio (bike, elliptical) to ease myself into running, and I haven't looked back! Last weekend (June 20th) I even completed my first road race! Running is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I have ever had, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

I've been logging my mileage in a journal since I started running outside (around May), but I've decided to transition into blogging it instead (see what I did there? haha). Starting from today, June 26th, this page will be dedicated to all things cardio.
